Welcome to Broadview Music Online!

The power of music continues to amaze!

The Music Saves Project was developed to create awareness of Music Therapy programs such as VAMS (Vancouver Adapted Music Society) & The Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund and the wonderful work they do to help create a level playing field for the disabled.

This video is an example of how we believe that music can have an incredibly positive influence in people's lives therapeutically and creatively. Programs such as this are important to recognize and support. We believe that music makes a difference and can heal, enrich and inspire positivity and creativity.

This project is run through Vancouver radio station Shore-FM and you can see a multitude of their videos by clicking here.

Please help Spread The Word about these videos & about Musical Therapy...

Broadview Avenue Public School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 School in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

It is one of the oldest schools in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.

The original school burned down in 1916 but was rebuilt shortly thereafter. Over the years, it has seen numerous additions as the school population has increased.

Today, Broadview is a large school with many specialized facilities including two gymnasiums, computer and science labs, a library/resource centre, a design and technology room, art room, instrumental music room and a community daycare centre.

Our music program includes all students in Grade 7 and Grade 8. These students learn to play a variety of musical instruments including brass, woodwinds, percussion and more.

Our extra-curricular program features a Grade 7 Concert Band, a Grade 7 Jazz Band, a Grade 8 Concert Band and a Grade 8 Jazz Band.

The music teachers are Mrs. Ginger Jacobson and Ms. Leslie Bricker
